    About me.

I am a PhD student at UW-Madison studying Cartography. My interests include experiential graphic design, traditional cartography, and comics as a cartographic method. I graduated from Penn State in 2013 with bachelor's degrees in Geography, GIS; Anthropology; and Classics.

My master's thesis was entitled "Designing an Experience: Maps, Signage, and the Tourist Path through Troy," and I am currently researching the intersection between cartography, experience, and art.

Like my work? I've love to hear from you.

I can be commissioned to create maps and graphics for your organization using digital or traditional media. Please send an email to nestelmaps@gmail.com with a description of your project and I will contact you with pricing.
